Long Distance New Year

This is what we will be creating!

Long Distance New Year
Photobucket

This tut was written by Amy on December 21, 2008. Any resemblence to another tut is purely a coincidence. I created this tut in Paint Shop Pro 7 and animation shop.

I used the fantastic artwork of ©Olivia. You must have a license to use her art and you can purchase them from CILM.

For this tut you will need my New Year Romance Scrapkit. You can download it HERE.

You will also need the mask, my extra shoe, and my animated bubbles in the zip folder HERE!

Lets start.

Open a new white backed image 600x600 in paint shop pro. Add a new raster layer to it and use the flood fill tool to color it. I used #7D4680Load the mask as you would any other and apply it to this layer. Copy the mask layer and paste as a new layer. Now you can move the two mask layers by using your MOVER tool to the placement areas.

Next open the frames that are included in the scrapkit. Copy and paste the frame as I did. You can use the deformation tool to resize. Using the magic wand, with a feather of 4, and click inside both parts of the double round frame so they are both selected. Copy and paste a paper of your choice into the selection. You might want to do this several times so the feathered edges aren't showing a transparency. With the selection still there.... Find the tube of your choice and place it into the selected area. If you do not like the way it looks the first time just click undo and try until you get the tube the way you want it. Go to selections and select none. Add a drop shadow if you like.

Add the elements except for the shoes and ring....you can resize by using the deformation tool. Add the Copyright information. And Merge all layers.
Open the shoe that came with the kit. Copy and paste the shoe onto the image as a new layer. Use the deformation tool to resize it the way you want it. Copy and paste it into animation shop. Back in Paint shop pro click on undo until the shoe is off your canvas.

Copy the image from Paint shop pro into animation shop and duplicate three times. Select all!

Find the shoe you placed in animation shop earlier and duplicate three times. Select al, go to effects, apply image effects and use these settings. Elasped time, noise. Click customize, Noise intensity of 230, Opacity of 100, Grey checked. OK. Copy and go back to the tag frames. Paste into selected. Do not 'drop until you have the shoe where you want it to be. Now do the same as above with the shoe I supplied in the supply folder. Be sure to start with three frames and select all.

Use the ring I supplied in the zip folder. Duplicate so you have three frames. Copy and paste onto the image so it looks like it is 'hooked' on the heel of the shoe.
Open the bubbles I made and supplied in the folder. You should already have three frames. Select all and copy. Take to the image and paste placing above the champagne glass. I pasted five times in all moving it around to cover the top of the entire glass.

If you like the way this came you are finished. Save as a gif.

This tut was written by Amy on December 21, 2008
I used the fabulous artwork of Dominic Marco. You must have a lisence to use his work and it can be purchased from CILM.

For this tut you will to download my New Year Romance Kit. You can download it from HERE. You will also need a mask created by Becky,my template, and my fire work animation. I have included all supplies in the zip folder and you can grab those HERE

Lets begin!

Open a new image in Paint shop pro. Flood fill the back ground white add a new raster layer and flood fill with #7F526F color.
Apply the mask provided in the kit. Set this aside and open the template provided in the zip folder.

The template is in layers and I have it already set up for you. So using the magic wand select the retangular shape in the first layer that is showing. Copy and paste a paperof your choice and paste it into the selection. Unclick the next layer up and choose another paper and copy and paste it into selection. Repeat this for all layers of the mask. You can follow my tag as a guide or you can mix and match the papers however you like. When you finished be sure to click off the Bottom layer, this is the doodle. When all layers are showing go to layers merge visible. Copy and paste it as a new raster layer onto the Masked image you set aside earlier. Add a slight drop shadow if you like.

You are ready to begin adding the elements to this layer. You can either do your's the same as mine or you can arrange them differently. I used the deformation tool to resize and place the elements. I added a dropshadow to most of them.
When you have the elements the way you want them add the tube of your choice and the copyright for the artist. Go to layers, Merge all.

Copy and paste this into animation shop. Go to Edit, Duplicate so you have five frames. Select all by going to Edit, select all. Open the fireworks animation and go to edit select all, Copy. Back at the tag Paste the animation into selected Frames. I did this three times to make it a wider area the fireworks cover. Be sure to view your animation. If you are not happy with where you pasted the fireworks you can undo and add them again. When you are happy with the way the tag looks save as a gif and you are done.

I hope you enjoyed my easy peasy tut.

Happy Holidays Baby

Photobucket

This tut was written by Amy of Amy's Easy Peasy Tuts on December 14, 2008. Any resembelence to another tut is purely a coincidence. I used Paint shop pro 7 to create this tag but it should work in any version.

For this tut you will need a tube of your choice...or you can purchase the Eugene Rzhevskii tube I used from MPT.

You will need to go to Monica's site Simply Sensational Scraps to grab her freebie kit Rosie Elegance HERE Thank you so much Monica for sharing this beautiful kit!

In addition you will need to download my template HERE from 4 shared.
If you want to animate the tag as I did you will need to have Alien Skin Xenofex 2 Constellation Filter.

Lets start.

Open the template I provided in Paint shop pro. Click off all the layers so you only have the transparent background showing. Flood fill that layer whiteSelect from Monica's kit one of the doodles you would like to use. Copy and paste it onto the white layer, keeping in mind that you want some of it show but not all use the deformation tool to resize and position as you like. Click off the next layer of the template so that one of the retangular areas are showing. Use the magic wand to select all of it and choose a paper from the scrapkit. Copy and paste it into the selection. Apply a drop shadow if you like. Do this with each of the next two retangular layers of the template. You might want to hide these layers after you have added the papers. I used the same paper for each.

Next you have to click off the circular layer... use the magic wand to select this layer. Copy and paste one of the papers into it. Add a drop shadow if you like. Next I added one of the diamond studded frames to the top of this circular layer only. Use the deformation tool to resize. Add a drop shadow if you like.

Find the tube you will want to use and place it so that the bottom of the tube is on but not beneath the frame. Copy and paste the frame again and use the deformation tool to get it just the same size as the last one. Now use your eraser tool to erase the parts of the frame you do not want there so that the tube looks like it is standing in the frame.

Take the beaded frames from the tut and and copy and paste them into each of the outer Rectangular paper covered shapes. Use the deformation tool to resize and add a drop shadow if you like. Add flowers and the other elements as I did or however you like. You can add drop shadows as you go.

Add your Copyright now.

Find one of the flowered vines and copy and paste it as a new layer. Use the deformation tool to resize it so it fits inside the left handed rectangular shape. Add a drop shadow to it. I added one of Horizontal 1, Vertical -1, Opacity 100 and blur 0. Merge all layers. If you are not animating this tag you are done.

If you are animating it follow the instructions below.

Use the magic wand to select the green part of the flowered Vine. You may have to set the tolerance fairly high to do this. Feather should be set to zero.
When you have the geen vines selected go to Xenofex filter and choose the Constellation. Settings should be Star Size 2.00, Size Variation 25, Edge Star Density 18, Overall Star Density 0, Overdrive 100, Twinkle amount 75 rotation 45, and Keep original image should be checked. When you have these settings click OK.

Go to selections, Select none, copy and paste this into Animation shop as a new image.

Back in paint shop pro click on undo until your vine is selected again. This should be twice. Next go to Effects again and back to the constellation Filrter. Now you should just click on the Random button when the filter options comes up. Click OK. Selections, Select none and copy and paste this into animation shop after current. Back to Paint shop pro and repeat above steps one more time.
Once you have pasted this last frame after current in animation shop you should have three frames. If you like the way it looks you are done and ready to add your names to the tag.

Thanks for trying my easy peasy tut..I hope you enjoyed it.

Home for the Holidays

Home for the Holidays

This tut was written by Amy on December 2, 2008. Any resemblance to another tut is purely a coincidence.

For this tut I used the fantastic artwork of Cane Hoyer. You can purchase this tube from MPT and you must have a license to use.

You will also need a FTU scrapkit by Stevie from Nightbirds Enchanted Scrap Haven. You will find her kit on her site HERE! Thank you Stevie for sharing this wonderful kit!

I have included the mask and the picture (which was labeled ftu as well) If these items are yours please let me know and I will either credit you or remove them.

Grab them HERE

Lets Begin!

First open a new white image in Paint shop pro 600x600. Now choose a paper of your choice from the kit. Apply the mask!

Next choose the solid colored Christmas ornament. Copy and paste as a new layer onto the mask layer. Using the selection tool draw a round circle in the center of the ornament. Copy and paste the Snowscene into the selection. I added a drop shadow here and you can too if you like.

Using the deformation tool turn the ornament slightly. Copy it and paste as a new image. Click on image, mirror and place it on the opposite side.

Add the tag. You will need to resize the tag to 10%. Copy and paste it as a new layer. Put it in place on the ornament and use the eraser tool to erase parts of the string to make it look like it is hanging from the ornament top. I added a drop shadow.

Copy and paste a ribbon of your choice and resize it using the deformation tool. Move it so it looks like it is attached to the other ornament. copy and paste each of the penguins resizing them. Choose your tube and add a drop shadow if desired. Use the Text tool to write your text. I wrote "There is no place like home for the holidays" but you might have something else you think would be more fitting. Add the copyright and save. We are done.

Thank you for trying this easy peasy tut!

Pink Frost Princess Tut

I've decided to make a tut out of my newest kit. I hope you like this one and please let me know here if you have any problems with it.

This is what we will be creating!

Photobucket

Pink Frost Princess Tutorial
This tut was written by Amy on November 30, 2008. Any resemblence to another tut is purely a coincidence.

For this tut I used PinUp Toons artwork purchased from CILM. You must purchase this tube in order to use it or you can use a tube of your choice. I created this in paint shop pro 7 but any version should work!

SUPPLIES:
You will need my PINK FROST PRINCESS COLLECTION ELEMENTS AND PAPER for this tut. . You will also need animated snow. I have supplied it for you HERE.You will also want to download the template I created and supplied HERE.

LETS BEGIN!

IMPORTANT TIP: Did you know that after resizing takes place you should sharpen the image by going to effects-sharpen?

Open the template in paint shop pro. Go to layers and click them off so that only one gray block is showing. Using the magic wand click on the gray blocks and copy and paste one of the papers into the selection. By click off each of the four gray blocks adding the papers in the same way. Copy and paste the ribbon provided in the kit as a new layer. Use the deformation tool to get it the same size as the upper left block. You can trim the edges if needed. Add a drop shadow of your choice. I used a drop shadow of opacity 100, blur 0 and vertical -1, horizonal 1 throughout this tut. Copy and paste the ribbon as a new layer and go to Image, mirror. Place it over the lower right block.

Next add the tiara using the deformation tool to resize and turn just so it looks like mine does or place it however you like. Add a drop shadow if desired.

Unclick the bottom Circular layer of the template. Select it with your magic wand and copy and paste a paper into it. Repeat this with the last two circular layers. Add drop shadows as you go. Copy the smallest circular layer you have papered and paste it in paint shop pro as a new image. We will be using this in a little bit. Add the snowman either by resizing to 50% or by using the deformation tool. Add the dropshadow. Merge all! *If you know what image you will be using you might find it easier to add the copyright now to the image***

Copy and paste this into animation shop as a new image. Duplicate so you have ten frames of this exactly. Go to Edit, Select ALL**Keep the original handy in paint shop pro because you will be using this again later.

Open the snow animation I supplied in animation shop. We will be adding this shortly to the tag. Select the first frame of the ten frame animation by clicking on it. The border should be blue around that frame. Right click and export frame to paint shop pro.

Go back to paintshop pro and click on the smallest circle image you pasted just a little while ago. Add the castle supplied in the kit by resizing it to 50% and copying and pasting. You can use the deformation tool if you want to resize it more. Center it in the middle of the papered circular template. When you have it where you want to go to layers and merge visible. Use the magic wand to select it.

Now that you have the circular frame selected we are ready to begin adding the snow. I won't go over each step because you will be doing all ten frames the same.
Select the paint bucket flood fill tool. Go to your color palette and click on the back ground arrow so you have the choice of solid, gradient, or pattern. You want a pattern so click on that box. Click it again so the pattern box opens in the middle of your psp canvas. Scroll until you see the snow animation you imported to paint shop pro from animation shop. Click on it. Go the selected circular papered image and flood fill with the pattern. You should see snowflakes appear. Click selections, select none. Close the snow animation you imported. Copy and paste the circular image to animation shop and paste as a new image.

While you are in Animation shop click on the next frame of the snow animation. This is frame two. Right click and import to paint shop pro.

Back in paint shop pro click on the circular image to select it. Click undo until the snowflakes are gone. The image should still be selected but if its not click redo (the other arrow key) once so it is selected again. Or you can use the magic wand to select the image. Click on the textures box on your layer palette. You will see two snow animations. You do NOT want the one that says current. You want the one the OTHER one. Click on it and then flood fill the image with it as you did the first time. Go to selections and click on select none. Close the snow animation frame you imported. Copy and paste and take into animation shop and click on the first one you pasted there and paste AFTER current.

Continue to follow the above steps exactly with each of the ten frames of animated snow until you have ten frames of the snowy image. Be CAREFUL to always select the second image when you are adding the snow to the image instead of the one that reads current. This is a huge mistake peoplemake when trying animation and it doesn't work then.

When you have all ten frames done...Select all. Copy and going back to the orignal tag image you pasted into animation shop click on paste into selected frame. Its the last clipboard. When you have the circular snow image lined up with the one on the tag let paste. Click on View animation to see if it looks okay. If it does you are ready to go back to paint shop pro.

Back in Paint shop pro bring up the orignal image you copied and pasted into animation shop. Add a new layer. Find the Princess word art on a string and copy and paste it onto the image. Use the deformation tool to resize and add a drop shadow of your choice. Find the Princess clip in the kit and copy and paste it. Use the deformation tool to resize and turn so it looks like it is clipping the string to the largest circle of the template. Copy and paste and click on Image, Mirror to repeat on the other side. Now go to the layer Palette and click on the glasses so the bottom merged layer isn't showing. Click on the next layer up to select it. Go to Layers, merge visible. Copy and paste this into animation shop as a new image. Duplicate so you have ten frames. Select all. Make sure the ten frames of the animated tag are still selected. All should be blue. Paste into selected frame lining up where you want the wordart to be placed.... so all frames should now be the same.

Go back in paint shop pro and unhide the tag layer. Now you can add a new layer to it and place the tube you chose into it where you want. When it is the size you want it to be, copy and take it to animation shop and paste as a new image. Duplicate so you have ten frames and add it to your tag as you did the word art, placing it where you would like it to go.

View the image. If you are satisfied and you have already added the copyright you should be done...be sure to SAVE!!!. If you haven't added the copyright be sure to add it by creating ten frames and copying and pasting it onto the tag. ***You will also want to do this to when you add names to it***

I hope you have enjoyed my easy peasy tut!

Winter Memories Tut

I actually started this tut soon after I made the Winter Memories kit but finally had a chance to go back and finish it. I hope you like it! Everything needed is supplied!
This tut was created by Amy on November 29, 2008. Any resembelance to another tut is purely a coincidence.
For this tut I used the fantastic artwork of Keith Garvey. You can find his art at MPT.
You will need to download my mask HERE and my Winter Memories Kit HERE to complete this tut.
First open an 600x600 image with a white background in Paint shop pro. Add a new raster Layer. Choose a color that will match the kit supplies and flood fill or you can copy and paste one of the papers supplied in the kit as a new layer. Add the mask to this layer.
Pick one of the frames you would like to use and copy and paste it as a new raster layer onto the mask layer. Use your magic wand to select the inside of the frame. Find the tube of your choice and click it directly inside the middle of the frame. If you do not like the way it looks you might want to adjust the size click undo and apply the tube again until you get it the way you want it.I added a drop shadow of opacity 100, blur 0 and vertical -1, horizonal 1, then opacity 100, blur 0, vertical -1, horizontal 1.You can add a drop shadow of your choice.
Next add the supplies from my winter memories scrapkit each as a new layer. This way you can move them where you want them to be located and add the same drop shadow aboveto the peices to make them appear to 'pop'. Most of the peices were resized by 50% and the snowman was resized to 40%. You can also use the deformation tool to resize or turn them if you like. The jar of snowflakes I added a drop shadow of opacity 50, blur 0 and vertical -1, horizonal 1 and did not repeat it for the other side. If you add the pin to the frame don't forget to use the eraser tool to erase a part of the metal end to make it look like it's poked through the ribbon.
Add your choice of word art supplied to the top and your copyright information. Your tag should be finished. Thanks for trying my easy peasy tut.

Santa's Elf Tutorial

Hi Everyone! I hope you who live in the States all had a great Thanksgiving! I've been busy doing offline stuff so haven't had a chance to create much of anything to share lately so for that I apologize. I finally had a little bit of time this morning so I wrote a new tut. This is a super easy one!!
Santa Elf Tutorial
This Tut was written by Amy on November 29th, 2008. Any resembelence to another tut is purely a coincidence. I used the fantastic artwork of Ismael Rac, who's tubes you can purchase from MPT.
For this kit you will need a couple of supplies made by me and supplied HERE and a mask made by Becky which I've also included in the supplies. If you are the Becky who made this mask, thank you so much for sharingyour work and please contact me so I can addyour download link to this tut.
Use the snowflake image I supplied as a brush. To add it to your brush folder just select it all so the ants are marching around the entire edge, click on brush, custom and create.
This tut is very easy! First open a new image in paint shop pro. Flood fill it with a deep red or color of your choice. Go to masks and apply the Becky mask I supplied. Go to effects, texture, Weave, Apply using these settings. gap 1, width 5, opacity 38, weave color Black, Gap color white, Fill gaps checked
Open another new image and flood fill white. Add some of the random snowflakes using the snowflake brush supplied by me, on what you think will be the outer edges of the mask. Copy and paste the mask layer onto the white back ground layer.
Add the tube of your choice. Add a drop shadow of opacity 100, blur 0 and vertical -1, horizonal 1, then opacity 100, blur 0, vertical -1, horizontal 1.
Using the supplies I added add the clip to the top part of the mask like I did as a new layer. Use your eraser brush to erase the partof the clip that would be behind the mask layer. Add the Christmas bulb supplied by me and the word art.
Add your copyright information and your name, I added mine to the Christmas Ball, and you are done! I hope you enjoyed this easy peasy tut!erase the part of the clip that would be behind the mask.
